Like so many good things, it all started in the 90s.

Cindy Reich, the founder of Whim Boutique, was embarking upon a great adventure: opening a children’s clothing store. When her initial plans fell through, it was too late: her love for retail had already been sparked and she remained fully invested in opening her own clothing boutique. She stepped out on her own, met with buyers in New York and ultimately opened “Wink”, an adult clothing store that stayed open in Houston for nine successful years.

Four years ago, she found herself back in the retail world when she opened Whim in 2014. Whim is nestled in the Southampton/West University neighborhood of Houston and featured advanced contemporary clothing and accessories that will make your heart skip a beat. Cindy has a trusted eye for chic, modern womenswear that has served Houston for nearly 20 years. Her one-of-a-kind taste is unmatched.
